Hants and Dorset Timber Trade Association

Hello I am Keith Bartlett 'I have the honour of being president and representing the Hant & Dorset Timber Trade Association.'

'I have had 45 years experience on trading in imported hardwood and softwood . The picture shows me up in Northern Finland on a buying trip for the company I work for, Compass Forest Products who import Scandinavian redwood & whitewood into the UK.'

The Hampshire and Dorset Association is a formal meeting of the Softwood, Hardwood and Sheet Materials traders in the area.

Meeting about 4 times a year we get to grips with all aspects of the trade including, as you can see a keen awareness that we have to have a responsible and forward thinking attitude to dealing with the most environmentally sound of products.

You can find within our membership all you need to know about timber, its origins, uses and applications.

So if you need any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us. Anyone from within the trade would be welcome at our meetings which I am sure you would find valuable.
